The technical development of ISOBUS began in 1991 with the creation of an agricultural electronics working group. The ISOBUS standard for tractors and implements was introduced ten years later, in 2001.
The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), the international platform for industry, was founded in 2008 and currently has over 200 members. ME has been involved right from the start. The AEF and its members are committed to the implementation of electronic standards. The role of the AEF is to promote manufacturer-independent compatibility between tractors, implements and farm software and to make the farming public aware of the applications and benefits of ISOBUS.
The organisation has set up a number of project groups to work intensively on ISOBUS. We are members of most of these groups, working on your behalf to achieve our objective of 100% compatibility for you.
